When the Hobby Industry Association's (HIA) national trade show convenes in Dallas, Texas, on Thursday, February 5, the industry's largest publisher of crafts, scrapbooking and decorative painting books and magazines will be ready to show off its new tides for the spring and summer season. Recognized as one of the Top 100 Trade Shows in the United States, HIA has become a signature show for F+W Publications, publisher of North Light Books, Krause Publications and Memory Makers titles. "It's our most important show by far; no question", says Trisha Waddell, editorial director for North Light Books. "It's what we gear up for all year." Echoing that sentiment is Sally Finnegan, sales manager for North Light Books. "HIA is extremely important. It's the biggest craft show in the industry where we can meet customers and manufacturers. Everybody is there," says Finnegan.
