Health sector cleaning operatives on the frontline in the battle against COVID-19

JUST as a little positivity was sneakingback into lives and we were adjustingto the new normal following thedecline in COVID-19 cases afterthe first spike, the second wavehit us in the autumn. Membersof the ahcp have been on thefrontline in the fight againstthe virus since March 2020.My colleagues are directlyinvolved in managing anddelivering cleaning and hygieneservices in most NHS and independenthospitals. Members also hold key roles in manyprimary care and GP clinics and surgeries, nursingand care homes, and other residential caresettings provided by the public, charitable andprivate sectors.
