HOSPITAL cleanliness is a seemingly constant cause of concern and with the summer sun now a distant memory and the arrival of autumn, our thoughts begin to turn towards the impending chillier weather and what this can mean for those who are frail and/or vulnerable. With 18% of the UK population now aged 65 and over, winter is no doubt the busiest time of year for our hospitals and healthcare environments in terms of viruses and infections - includingthe control and containment of these contagions.
