近年の混迷する世界経済のなかにあって,日本の基幹産業の1つでもある紙パルプ業界もまた,この時代を生き抜いていくために,一層の生産効率アップが求められている.従来,日本の紙パルプ産業は改良改善を重ねることで得られた独自の先進技術やノウハウによって,世界に類を見ない効率の高い生産性を武器に発展してきた.%Japanese paper industry has been developing in ordinal situation. This is because of higher demand of quality and usage of recycling (cheap) furnish. This specific technology of paper industry has unique ability for other countries, and it is possible that Japanese technologies help to dramatically develop paper industry abroad. On the other hand, this situation makes us isolate from major technology of paper industry. Especially Japanese specific water consumption level is twice of the average in Europe and NAFTA. To protect the environmental restriction the easiest way is not to enhance waste water treatment technology but to add much enough dilution water to the waste water to safety level. This means that we have technological disadvantage in water treatment. In Japan, actually, the consistency of waste water level is from 2000 to 3000ppm, which is far above the level of 100ppm in Europe . Furthermore the water treatment system discharge more sludge, and its cost for landfill should be expensive. If the sludge is reused as raw material, small sticky particles are also circulated and they cause many troubles for paper machine. In our opinion, the treatment of waste water and sludge should be the next key innovation for the Japanese paper industry. Then we would like to introduce Discfilter (DF) as a solution. This technology will solve not only water treatment troubles but also whole system upgrade issues.rnDF has excellent ability not only for thickening but also making white water. There are two types of DF. For stock preparation system, DF makes 2 types of white water called as Cloudy (about 450ppm) and Clear (about 100ppm). Cloudy is used just only for inlet dilution, and so extra dilution water is not necessary. For approach system, DF makes additionally Superclear (about 50ppm) white water. Superclear can be used for almost all of shower and/or spray water, so the specific water consumption can be reduced.rnFor maintenance of DF, the cost can be much lower than for other thickeners. Its filtrate disc is made of SUS and any filtrate bags are not necessary. For this feature the disc sectors are so called "Bagless filter". More than 10 years these sectors can run without any problems like wearing and/or leaking. Its surface is corrugated and this enables more capacity than flat surface.rnTo continually get better filtrate water, stable and strong vacuum force is essential. Usually more than 8m dropleg piping is necessary for the vacuum, but only 6m dropleg is enough for DF. The special structure of filtrate valve prevents air accumulation in the valve, so the suction force of water is not disturbed by air. This stable vacuum enables lower dropleg and prevents any damages for the sectors.rnDF is one of the solutions for water treatment systems in Japan. We would like to supply not only this but also anything better for customers, and also develop new technology for the future.
