To provide an electronic information storage medium and the like that can reduce communication costs necessary for update processing of applications and resume update processing from an interrupted process even if the update processing is interrupted.SOLUTION: In update processing, data associated with an application instance is evacuated without being deleted, and if a new application instance is generated, the data evacuated is associated.
