What Difference The Directive?

The English government intended to quickly introduce the new Public Procurement Directive into legislation to benefit from the improved flexibility it offers. Consultation on the draft Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ended last October and it is likely to be passed into law in England in early 2015. Similarly, Wales and Northern Ireland are expected to transpose the Directive in 2015, but is understood the Scottish Government will wait until 2016. Nevertheless, all those involved in the procurement of public contracts need to get up to speed with the step-change in approach it represents.
