Sustainable groundwater management: a case study of the monitor-model-manage approach in Hermanus

摘要

The results emphasise the necessity of comprehensive monitoring in reserve determination. Without this monitoring network, key aquifer behaviour and even the very existence of an aquifer would have been missed if desktop-based data alone, such as the geological map of the Hermanus area, had been used as a basis for reserve determination.
