McCain, Obama Offer Differing Views on Infrastructure Funding

The presidential candidates of the two major political parties offer differing levels of Senate experience as well as fairly different philosophies regarding the extent to which the federal government should fund infrastructure. Depending on the outcome of the November election, the next occupant of the White House will have a record of consistently seeking to limit federal spending on major infrastructure programs or will be a relative political newcomer who has made pledges regarding infrastructure but has little experience in bringing such promises to fruition.
