Normal but Not Ordinary

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is in the process of enhancing its regional freeway system in the Phoenix area by closing a gap in the Red Mountain Freeway, also known as State Route/ Loop 202L, through Mesa. As part of that project the adot required a dual bridge to cross Power Road (a local thoroughfare) as well as a canal that is part of the Central Arizona Project (CAP), a 336 mi (541 km) long system of aqueducts, tunnels, pumping facilities, and pipelines that serves as the largest single renewable water supply in the state of Arizona.
