Consulting and Design Engineering Lead Uptick in U.S. Water Industry Growth, Report Says

Despite the hard times faced by many municipalities in recent years, the U.S. water industry was expected to grow at a rate of more than 4 percent during 2011, exceeding by more than a percentage point the industry's rate of growth in the previous year, according to a report recently released by the publishing firm Environmental Business International (EBI), Inc., of San Diego. Among 10 water business segments tracked by EBI, the consulting and design engineering sector experienced growth of nearly 6 percent during 2011, the highest of any of the segments.
