Having led asce through some of its most challenging and successful years and helped move the civil engineering profession forward, ASCE's executive director, Patrick J. Natale, P.E., EASCE, has announced his retirement, effective December 31, 2014. He made the announcement during his annual State of the Society address, which he delivered last month in Charlotte, North Carolina, during ASCE's 143rd Annual Civil Engineering Conference. "I love what I do and have a great time doing it," said Natale, who began his tenure as the Society's executive director, chief staff officer, and secretary in November 2002.
