Contract administration is a far-reaching topic and much of it falls outside the purpose of this article, but there are many ways in -which good contract administration will help -when a claim situation occurs. Additionally, many claims arise from conflicts or ambiguities in contract documents or the failure of one of the parties to comply with its obligations under the contract. Good contract administration can also therefore play an important part in avoiding claims.
