Special issue: papers selected from the Sixth International Forum on Engineering Decision Making (IFED)

摘要

In January 2012, the International Forum on Engineering Decision Making (IFED, http://sydney.edu.au/engineering/events/ifed) held its sixth forum in Lake Louise, Canada. The theme of the sixth forum 'Risk for temporary systems, temporary structures, and short-term activities' attracted 32 technical papers in various fields of engineering. For the purpose of this special issue of civil engineering and environmental systems, six papers of general interest were selected and their authors were invited to re-write and submit manuscripts to the journal.
