In the world of computers, nothing seems to last very long. I remember the early Intel processor line, but I must admit I cannot remember the last one. My recollection stops with the Pentium line. After that, it's all blurry and not so interesting, as PC technology has come to focus more on new applications. But inovations in another area of computing have piqued my interested. About five years ago, a small group of enthusiastic designers launched the Raspberry Pi, a small, inexpensive computer that looked nothing like a normal computer. The bare green PCB's versaility and ease of use appealed to makers, hackers, and traditional computer nerds alike. The magic was back!
