Reviewing the past and looking towards the future for a better control of infectious diseases in the coming century

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. There have been great changes in the past 50 years in China. It has been thriving and prosperous and her people are living in happy and contented atmosphere. Infectious diseases that once wrecked havoc upon her people have been brought under effective control. The control of infectious diseases and the expanded program for immunization(EPI)have left a brilliant page in the history of public health of this contury.
