New Prospects of Energy Slaie Restructuring:Application and Dissemination of Ethanol-Blended Gasoline in China

As the dissemination and application of ethanol-blended gasoline is closely connected with the rectification of energy structure in China, the enticement of ethanol-blended gasoline has become a new scene for China's restructuring of energy sector. The State Bureau of Technical Supervision promulgated on April 15, 2001 two mandatory standards: the standard for denatured ethanol fuel and the standard for automotive ethanol-blended gasoline. The relevant government department announced on April 18, 2001 that the ethanol-blended gasoline would emerge on the market starting July 1, 2001 following its testing over half a year.
