摘要

Mathematical models of production processes are currently used to solve problems of their control. There are, however, a number of objective difficulties that appreciably lower the quality of the control and which do not permit sufficiently effective use of mathematical modeling. In our opinion, the first difficulty is frequently encountered groundless expansion of the boundaries of the limits of application of specific models. The second difficulty consists in the lack of a potential for explaining the cause-effect relation between parameters of the process being modeled. To eliminate current difficulties in understanding existing processes and utilize the mathematical models corresponding to them, let us analyze these models from the standpoint of the informativeness and limits of their application, and also examine certain possible means of their refinement in an example of a mixing process. The analysis was conducted in accordance with the three-level hierarchical system mentioned below for the classification of existing models of processes.
