摘要

In this work, the principle of dynamic balancing has been studied using the concept of central inertia (Poinsot) ellipsoid. The reactions in the supports (bearings) of a rotor revolving around its vertical axis are analyzed. It is demonstrated that additional dynamic pressures in the supports will be nil if the rotation axis of the rotor coincides with its principal central axis of inertia. The basic kinematic (functional) diagram of the device for attaining dynamic balance in small-lot production conditions, which is a critical task at this time, is shown. The process of improving a separator rotor with the aid of the referred device is described as well. The design of the device studied in this work ensures safe operation of the separator and can be used for designing a technically more complex balancing unit.
