摘要

It is noted that zones of increased concentrations of components tending to segregation are formed within the vessel when multi-component mixtures of granular materials are prepared. Well-regulated charging of components of the mixture into a circulation mixer is the most rational means of solving this problem. A design of mixers, in which various alternate schemes for the charging of key components into the mixer are technically feasible in practice, is patented. Results of numerical experiments indicated that variation in the charging rate of key components will make it possible to improve the quality of the finished product by 30-40%. A similar method of optimizing the conditions under which the process proceeds can also be used for other types of circulation mixers.
