A DNA-bridged strategy is used to facilely conjugate streptavidin (STV) to luminescent semiconductor quantum dots (QDs), which leads to convenient and stable QD-DNA-biotin-STV conjugates that serve as fluorescent nanoprobes for ultrasensitive detection of cancer biomarkers with a microfluidic protein chip.rnSemiconductor quantum dots (QDs) are nanoparticles that have attracted widespread interest in biomedical studies due to their unique optical and electronic properties.
