摘要

The title compound behaves as an efficient cheletropic trap for both NO and NO_2 radicals in the presence of oxygen, yielding EPR observable nitroxide and alkoxynitroxide, respectively.rnNitrogen monoxide (or nitric oxide) is a small gaseous radical involved in a wide range of biological processes, such as neurotransmission, immune defence or blood flow regulation. The lack of a signal for free NO in solution and its short physiological lifetime preclude its direct electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) observation.
