摘要

[(ANS)Cu~I(CH_3CN)]~+ reacts with O_2 giving [{(ANS)Cu~(II)}_2-(μ-η~2:η~2-O_2~(2-))]~(2+), v_(O-O) = 731 cm~(-1), shown to possess S-thioether ligation, based on comparisons with analogues having all N-Iigands or a -S(Ph) group. The finding is a rare occurrence and new for side-on O_2~(2-) binding.
