Nach gut vier Jahren Tätigkeit als Hauptgeschäftsführer beim Bundesverband Baustoffe - Steine und Erden e.V. wird Dr. Michael Weißenborn (65) zum Jahreswechsel in den Ruhestand gehen. Sein Nachfolger ist Michael Basten (48), derrnzuletzt als Geschäftsführer des Bundesverbandes der Deutschen Zementindustrie e.V. in Berlin tätig war (Bild).rn„Mit Michael Weißenborn verlässt uns ein Hauptgeschäftsfuhrer, der auf zahlreiche Erfolge zurückblicken kann", sagte BBS-Präsident Dr.-Ing. Gernot Schaefer bei der offiziellen Verabschiedung am 20.11.2008 in Berlin. Zum einen wurde der Verband nach innen neu aufgestellt. Zum anderen wurden wirtschaftspolitische Initiativen wie die Einführung des „Wohn-rnRiesters" zum Erfolg geführt. „Michael Weißenborn hat auch darauf hingewirkt, dass über den BDI das Thema heimische Rohstoffe auf die Agenda der Bundesministerien gesetzt wurde und dafür gesorgt, dass das Leitbild Bauwirtschaft von der Industrie mit Leben gefüllt wurde", betonte Dr.-Ing. Gernot Schaefer. Der BBS danke ihm für seine Arbeit, die von hoher Loyalität und strategischem Denken geprägt war. „Er hat die Kommunikation unseres Verbandes nach innen vertieft und nach außen professionalisiert", so Dr.-Ing. "It was also due to Michael Weißenborn that the topic of domestic raw materials was put on the agenda of the federal ministries through the Federation of German Industry (BDI), and he saw to it that the role model of the building trade became a reality in industry," underlined Dr.-Ing. Gernot Schaefer. The BBS thanked him for his work that was characterized by complete loyalty and strategic thinking.
