14th International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement

The fourteenth International Cement Chemistry Congress (14th ICCC) took place in Beijing, China, from 13th to 16th October 2015 with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the China Cement Association as well as with sponsorship by some Chinese cement companies. The invitations had been issued by the Chairlady Yan Yao. The congress was organized by the Chinese Ceramics Association, the Chinese Academy for Building Materials and the National Key Laboratory of Green Building Materials. The congress building was located close to the Olympic stadium and was surrounded by modern hotels, which meant that the participants only had to travel short distances to reach the congress. The excellent and committed organization meant that the course of the congress and the supporting programme, including the final banquet with an imposing cultural programme with stars from the Beijing opera, were both superbly organized.
