In the second quarter Cavalry and Armor Journal, BG McKean, 49th Chief of Armor, provided a synopsis of the continued enhancement solutions for the Abrams Main Battle Tank. One such program is the Abrams engineering change proposal (ECP)1 program, which modernizes or redesigns elements of the platform. The program essentially allows the Army to incorporate future upgrades into the Abrams without degradation of its superiority on the battlefield.
