The deadline for 100% air cargo screening in the US is fast approaching. Congress' deadline for 50% cargo screening has already come and gone without much difficulty. However, the more daunting task of 100% screening of cargo moving on passenger aircraft in the US still remains - with less than nine months to go until the August 2010 deadline. Many within the industry are doubtful that TSA will achieve the goal of 100% screening by the deadline.
