ROVER REAR BRAKE TROUBLES

Having failed the MoTon handbrake low effort, this 1997 Rover 600 was otherwise OK. Often with these we see the handbrake cable to caliper connections are seized, but on this car they had been greased up and were swiveling freely. The problem actually turned out to be the brake pads, which had jammed up in the carrier.Removing the carrier and pulling off the pad shims, we then thoroughly cleaned the surface, filing off the corroded metal.
