Liverpool's New Canal Opens

Liverpool's pier head and Albert Dock are now part of the national canal network, thanks to the opening of the new Liverpool Link.rnOn March 25 Pride of Sefton led a convoy of boats through the new connection, which runs via a series of former docks and new canal sections from the Leeds & Liverpool's Stanley Dock Branch to the South Docks. On the way it passes some of the city's landmarks, running right in front of the famous Liver Building and tunnelling under the new Liverpool Museum.
