It's always bad news when a waterway is the scene for criminal activities, so it will surely sadden all boaters to hear that a newsagents that backs onto the Nottingham Canal was a victim of a robbery recently. Or rather, very nearly all boaters - with the possible exception of the would-be thieves who arrived in a stolen boat to carry out the break-in.
