Boatbuilder Guy takes a leap too far

Referring to the series The Boat That Guy Built on BBC One on Sunday evenings recently, I at first thought that at last the canals were to have some well deserved publicity. The idea of a steam-powered shower in a narrow boat was eccentric but amusing and the programme used the canals as a backdrop to the theme of history. This was fine until the closing sequence of the second episode when the boat was cruising towards a bridge with a crew member walking along the cabin top, bad enough, we all know how dangerous this can be, but when on reaching the bridge this person jumped up, grabbed the bridge, climbed onto it then ran to the other side and jumped back onto the boat as it passed. I was, to say the least shocked.
