THREE PROMINENT MEMBERS of national charities, three existing British Waterways board members, a historian, and a boater with 50 years experience in waterways campaigning will form the panel of eight unpaid Transition Trustees who will take initial charge as BW moves into the charitable sector. BW's existing chairman Tony Hales, who will chair the new trustees, is joined by his fellow board-members Nigel Hugill, chairman of BW's audit and property committees, and its vice-chairman John Bridgeman CBE.
