What do Jimi Hendrix and the Mary Rose have in common? They're both connected with a yacht crafted from 1,200 pieces of wood, each with a story. The 'floating collage of memories' marks the Olympics, so there's a plank from the velodrome and some hockey sticks - plus a fragment of the Mary Rose and part of a Jimi Hendrix guitar. We can't help wondering if something similar but canal-related might be possible, say, using a piece of old lock gate, part of a timber 'caution high voltage cables' sign, and a wooden bollard or two.
