Q We are buying a liveaboard and doing the rounds of numerous boat builders and marinas. We are also asking other owners' views and receiving sound advice, albeit sometimes conflicting. We plan to travel the network once our dream has been realised and need to know the maximum length that will allow us to travel unrestricted, or at least cover most of the system. Opinions have varied greatly from 58ft up to 70ft and we would appreciate an accurate answer as this will have an impact on what length boat we shall buy.
