IWA launches Swansea link

The swansea bay Integrated Waterway (SBIW) is the new name coined by the Inland Waterways Association's South Wales Branch for a series of links proposed across part of South Wales. Two lengths of the Neath Canal (from Neath to Abergarwed and Resolven to Ysgwrfa) have already been restored by the Neath & Tennant Canals Trust, which hopes to link these together. Sections of the Swansea Canal above Clydach are also under restoration by the Swansea Canal Society, but the lower sections from Clydach to Swansea have been largely obliterated.
