This might look like a rather odd bit of publicity for a canal volunteer group that wants a hand with barrowing some gravel for the towpath - but it's actually an artist's impression of one of three possible sculptures to decorate a strip of land between the Lee Navigation and Bow Creek. The public have voted on which of the three 'line drawing' style artworks by artist Michael Craig-Martin they prefer. So by the time this appears in print, it will be known whether East London will be getting a barrow, a hammer or a pitchfork.
