Liveaboard boater and elected boater representative on the Canal & River Trust Council Stella Ridgway has been voted in as the new Chair of the National Association of Boat Owners. At the Annual General Meeting where she was appointed, she listed her aims including urging the Canal & River Trust to focus on maintenance; seeking to ensure all users respect the canals, and seeking NABO members' views on matters including towpath safety and cycling, more facilities and accessible long- and short-term moorings.
