摘要

Divers had to be brought in to Torksey Lock on the Fossdyke Navigation to check out the depths when part of the lock's operating mechanism became damaged. It turned out to be a problem with the rod operating a top paddle: a bolt connecting the rod to the paddle needed replacing and fortunately, the divers were able to make the repair. Despite this, the work was "far from straightforward", according to Sean McGinley, CRT waterway manager.
