As a bit of a crafter, I have long steered clear of all things wool and knitting related, You see, I have history with knitting and it is not all happiness and smiles. In fact, it is a woeful tale of failure, ineptitude and misery. My mum is a skillful knitter and from an early age I believed I could simply pick up needles and knock out a garment with intricate pattern detailing. Ha. We'd been playing frisbee with our berets and I grabbed another girl's, lobbed it at the overhead heaters where it lodged and rained down burning felt. Brown Owl was less than pleased and my expulsion was swift and remorseless.
