A journey through Standedge Tunnel makes for an excellent introduction to the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and the first boat trip, leaving at 10am, is a trip worth taking. Furthermore, to celebrate the official opening of the Thomas Bourne room in the visitor centre, organisers of this event are asking for imaginative and creative poems about Thomas Bourne. The author of the best poem will win a free boat trip with Joanne.
