Paperboard packaging products group MeadWestvaco Corporation (MWV) has received the prestigious Compliance Package of the Year award from the Healthcare Compliance Packaging Council (HCPC) for the company's Avive multiple-medication patient adherence solution-making it three years in a row that MWV has received the council's top honors. Developed jointly with pharmaceutical packaging designers LTCPCMS, Inc., the patented Avive package (picture above) was designed to provide an efficient, simplified, patient-customized solution for people prescribed multiple daily medications with advanced features such as ready-to-dispense format, pre-filled medication packets labeled with medication names, and patient education information inside the container.
