Buoyant demand growth in the pharmaceuticalsectorwillkeep domestic shipments of U.S.-built packaging machinery growing at a healthy pace in upcoming years, according to a major new report from PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, reaching US$8.5 billion by 2020. According to the association's 2016 State of the Industry U.S. Packaging Machinery Report-released at the start of last moth's PACK EXPO International 2016 exhibition in Chicago-U.S. based packaging machine-builders will enjoy a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.4 per cent between now and 2020, with food and beverage industries accounting for more than half of total growth.
