WHAT AN ANNUAL MEETING

Highlighted by a super sale which had the highest average of any Jersey sale in Canada over the past fourteen years; the earth-shattering birth of a new milk marketing equity fund; productive Board meetings and the honouring of bovine and human dairy industry leaders; the 1995 Annual Meeting "Had it all" in spades! As this was the first Annual Meeting of Jersey Canada in Ontario in five years and with the meeting location in the very heart of "Jersey Country", attendance was very strong at all events. Indeed, within a twenty mile radius of the annual meeting headquarters at the Brant Park Inn, on the east side of Brantford, there is a higher concentration of Jerseys than anywhere else in Canada! Participants tasted the wonders of Jersey herds in the host Brant-Norfolk counties and in neighbouring Oxford and Wentworth counties. The hospitality of the enthusiastic and close-knit Brant-Norfolk Jersey Club was superb and much appreciated. The only ingredient that did not get sifted into the recipe was the warm spring weather promised in the meeting theme, "Paris in the Spring." The warmth of Jersey people and their friends communing and socializing more than made up for that deficiency!
