Maybe they should rename it the NightmareLiner. On June 23, Boeing for the sixth time put off the first flight of its bally -hooed 787 Dreamliner jet. The announcement cited a need for reinforcement in the side of the fuselage, and while Boeing played down the problem, saying such changes are "not uncommon" in new planes, customers frustrated by the two-year delay are looking elsewhere. Some are sizing up a forthcoming jet from Airbus; others, such as Virgin Atlantic, are already buying older Airbus models while they wait. Either way, Boeing is losing orders for the plane that's central to its future, while Airbus picks up business.
