For example, in 1879 MetLife was among the very few insurance companies to offer "industrial insurance" to working men. This was insurance issued in small amounts on which premiums were collected weekly or monthly at the policy holder's home. And today, we are building on that legacy by developing simple, accessible and affordable insurance products for those who need them most.
