Integration externer Führungsinformationen aus dem Internet in SAP Strategic Enterpries Management (SEM)™

In einem Kooperationsprojekt zwischen der SAP AG und dem Bayerischen Forschungszentrum für Wissensbasierte Systeme (FORWISS) wurde ein Redaktions-Leitstand prototypisch implementiert. Die Ergebnisse dienen als Grundlage für die Entwicklung von SAP Strategic Enterprise Management-Business Information Collection (SAP-SEM-BIC). Die Softwarekomponente 1. strukturiert Wissen überdie Informationsbedarfe von Entscheidungsträgern, 2. unterstützt die gezielte Suche nach führungsrelevanten Fakten im Internet, 3. hilft bei der Filterung, dem Abgleich sowie der Kombination quantitativer und qualitativer Rechercheergebnisse mit internen Controllingdaten.%In order to improve decision support it is becoming increasingly important to combine internal and external management information. Frequently, external data is not available in numeric format. Hence, we have to link internal with external quantitative and qualitative data. Today, external information can be obtained quickly via the Internet. Since the quality and quantity of data from the Inter- net varies, it has to be edited to allow for systematic integration. All of this aggravates the problem of information overload. Therefore, we need a higher degree of automation for data collection and analysis. The module Business Information Collection (BIC) within SAP Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM) offers approaches to solve these problems.
