Vernetzungsstrategien und Techniknutzung von Small Offices and Home Offices (SOHOs)

This article deals with aspects of in-terorganizational cooperation of SOHOs (Small Offices/Home Offices), especially the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). We identify social and technological factors which favour SOHOs as a new form of corporation. Moreover we develop typical trajectories for the formation and the development of SOHOs. With a survey of 219 architect's and engineer's offices we test several theses about the cooperational behaviour of SOHOs and the role of ICT.%Small Offices und Home Offices (SOHOs) gewinnen immer mehr an Bedeutung in Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft. Ihre Entstehung und Verbreitung wird insbesondere durch den rasanten Fortschritt in den Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (IKT) begünstigt. Die Vernetzung mit anderen Betrieben stellt für SOHOs eine wichtige Alternative zum internen Wachstum dar. Eine empirische Erhebung unter 219 Architektur- und Ingenieurbüros zeigte, 1. dass die Nutzung der IKT bei den Dienstleistern im Sample signifikant abhängig von der Art der erstellten Dienstleistung und der Größe der Büros ist, 2. derTechnikeinsatz im Sample derzeit noch keine signifikanten Auswirkungen auf die Form der überbetrieblichen Zusammenarbeit hat 3. und kooperative Zusammenarbeit bei den befragten Unternehmen eher bei Anbietern ähnlicher Leistungen anzutreffen ist.
