Sharing (some) knowledge on fuel cells

Transport for London is looking well beyond hybrid buses as the ultimate 'green way' to go by taking a leading part in the Hydrogen Bus Alliance (see p7) of large operators across the world, sharing information and standardising specifications. rnNo manufacturers are involved. While that is understandable, it will surely be difficult to draw up a desired specification until makers give firm ideas of their plans. It would be a real benefit if makers could pool their knowledge — if not their resources — in the largely uncharted future of fuel cells and hydrogen power. But anyone spending millions of pounds on rnresearch is unlikely to share its results until patents are granted.
