There Will Be Many Like Me who are pleased (overwhelmed?) by the range of bus models produced in recent years. As a limited collector with a special interest in Western SMT, I am particularly grateful, for like many others, as a child I had to make do with the London Transport-biased Corgi and Dinky products. Including models of vehicles operated since Stagecoach bought the company in 1994,19 models and variants have been produced, including one that never was. The only Corgi l:50-scale example to date shows a coach in Western dual purpose cream and red livery, albeit one that never ran for the company. This depicts the Albion Vehicle Preservation Trust's Duple-bodied Albion Valiant FVA 854, which spent several years garaged with Western and was repainted into the operator's 1940s-style paint scheme. The bigger scale showed off the cream and red livery to good effect, particularly the scroll fleetname with black lining.
