Anote of thanks, first of all, to all Buses readers who helped fill the You Write pages in the previous two issues, following my piece about articulated buses in London. Whether you were for or against my stance, I am encouraged that this topic has brought forth such a spirited debate, which makes the magazine so interesting. One or two readers need, however, to reflect on the words of Voltaire: 7 disagree absolutely with what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.' As a final word on the subject, I was especially delighted that people who have been involved in actually operating buses generally supported my views, and it was excellent to see so many positive references to trolleybuses-by 'pro' and 'anti' correspondents.
