In what all three parties are hailing as a ground breaking co-ordination and investment agreement, Oxford Bus Company, Stagecoach and Oxfordshire County Council have signed up to a plan that will reduce head-to-head competition, increase the use of double-deckers and kill off proposals to compel passengers to change into shuttle buses on the edge of Oxford city centre.rnThey have used powers in the 2008 Local Transport Act that will make tickets inter-available on both operators' services from later this year with an integrated smartcard system, to provide a single turn up-and-go high-frequency network covering thernmain London Road, Cowley Road, Iffley Road and Banbury Road corridors.
